Our Founder

International Youth Society (IYS) was created in 2017 by the Md Rofiqul Alam with his fellow activists and entrepreneur Dr. Piya Ratna Maharjan with the aim of empowering youth to catalyse change through education, culture, and advocacy.  Rofiq is a Entrepreneur, Activists, Author, Youth Crusader and World Traveler, who involve with more youth organizations and serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in International Youth Society.

Rofiq believe in the power of youth to create meaningful and lasting change, and that youth will play a pivotal role in achieving the SDGs. His approach is therefore centered around enhancing the capacity of young people to make a difference through developing their skills, helping them to build their international network, exposing them to opportunities and providing grant funding to youth-led community projects.

IYS  should, in Rofiq’s vision, give young leaders a chance to meet their counterparts from every country in the world and resolve to make the world a better place.
