Our History
We are…
International Youth Society is a global organization that empowers students and young professionals to create ‘positive change’ in their local communities and around the world. It provides unique opportunities that assist to young people in becoming the business and professional leaders of tomorrow.
Through International Youth Society around the world, young people take action through community and international service to create sustainable solutions to local and global challenges, connect with the global community to expand professional networks, exchange ideas with leaders, and cultivate lifelong friendship around the world, develop skills to become community and global leaders, and have fun while recognizing the importance of Change Through Coalition.
IYS joins under 40 year old leaders from all continents, cultures and occupations to exchange ideas and take action for communities around the world. Individuals above 40 years old become supporters of IYS. Currently, IYS has a presence over 80 countries coordinated by the Country Directors, Country Coordinators and Ambassadors as well. It was founded on 10th July 2017.

We Do…
There are 1.8 billion young people in the world. Half the world is under 40 and nine in ten of these young people live in developing countries. This is the largest youth population there has ever been. We are in an era of what we call Peak Youth.
Young people are often seen as the future. We know they are more than the future, they are the today. We work with young people around the world to build a culture that supports and nurtures the dignity of the person. Our work is divided into three program areas: Advocacy, Education and Culture.

International Youth Society can change your life, can change the world!
IYS believes that many of the global challenges today affect the future of the youth as the leaders of the next generation and of every individual in the community. They must therefore be equipped with valuable knowledge and skills to combat global challenges. IYS stands firm that the youth and every individual’s roles must be defined with innovative ideas and actions so that the goals of Sustainable Development Agenda will be promoted and accelerated.
We believe in the power of youth to create meaningful and lasting change, and that youth will play a pivotal role in achieving the SDGs. Our approach is therefore centered around enhancing the capacity of young people to make a difference through developing their skills, helping them to build their international network, exposing them to opportunities and providing grant funding to youth-led community projects.
